Wheel for Charity Meets at Hinchingbrook House.

Hinchingbrook House, Huntingdon,Cambridgeshire is out meeting place. As you can see from some of the photos in this slide show we are very lucky to have this meeting place as one of our members is the groundsman at the House.
Hinchingbrooke house is a Tudor country house built around an early 13th century nunnery. It was given by Henry VIII to Richard Cromwell in 1538 at the time of the Dissolution. Queen Elizabeth I came here, King James I was a regular visitor and Oliver Cromwell played here as a child. The next owners, the Montagu family, soon to become the Earls of Sandwich, also played an important part in British history and the House remained their ancestral home the 1960's
The Slide show below is of a BBQ we had during the summer and a photo shoot. We invte clubs to join us during the summer months and ask for a donation towards our charitys of what ever they can afford on the day and then weather permitting we do a photo shoot infront of the house.Mostly this is done on a Sunday.Starting about 10am.We also ask anyone coming along to bring something to put on the BBQ.We now have a 50 Gallon drum as a BBQ and also a Boco Boiler with hot water for tea and coffee

Wheels for Charity Club what are we about.

The forum has been set up in a way that everyone can suggest ideas that can be used to fundraise. Also the forum has heavy filters as children will be able to use it as well as adults.

We the staff at Wheels for Charity want to always get the kids involved in the fundraising as we think it sets a good example to children and shows them just how much fun you can have doing it. We the staff have been together fundraising for over a year now and along with our children have had lots of fun met interesting people, we even got on TV last year at the Cambridge Children in Need Live night, but under a different club name.

Once we have enough members, Wheels for Charity will be registered with the Fundraising Standards Board. This will give us a number similar to a Charity number allowing us to apply for grants to set up our own events. It will also give us a code of conduct to follow, plus help from the board with any questions we may have or information we need to know.
